Ian Wright sends angry message to Arsenal over agreeing transfer deal for 30-goal star
Ian Wright took to Twitter on Thursday to express his frustration over how Arsenal are handling the transfer situation of last season’s top scorer.
The Gunners are enduring a dissapointing week which has seen at least two first team stars sold after Sunday’s thrashing at Anfield.
With only a year remaining on his Arsenal contract, Alexis Sanchez, who scored 30 goals in all competitions last season, was expected to be allowed to leave the club since he is unwilling to renew his deal.
However, Arsenal have failed to sanction the 28-year-old’s transfer to Manchester City due to the unavailability of a replacement even though a fee had been agreed between the two clubs.
According to Wright, the Gunners should have let go of Sanchez in order to make a profit on a player who is likely to leave next year anyway.
It's bad business to let Sanchez walk out next year for free.Take the F*****g money! He don't want to be there! We're Arsenal so some pride
