‘Incredible performance’, ‘Was great tonight’: Some fans praise Arsenal man after win
A number of Arsenal supporters took to social media to show their satisfaction with the performance of one of the Gunners’ key attackers in the victory over Portsmouth on Monday evening.
The Gunners went into the clash with Portsmouth on the back of a very worrying result last Thursday which saw them lose at home to Olympiacos and crash out of the Europa League.
With no European football left this season, Mikel Arteta had the chance to focus on winning the FA Cup and so the Arsenal boss rotated his starting eleven for the trip to Fratton Park.
Back in the team was Reiss Nelson, who recently recovered from an injury that had kept him on the sidelines for several weeks.
The young winger produced arguably his finest performance of the season as he set up both of the goals in the Gunners’ 2-0 win over Portsmouth in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Thus, Nelson was hailed by the Arsenal fans on social media following the final whistle…
Incredible performance by Reiss Nelson..

Reiss Nelson was great tonight. He’s really become the player we were promised last year on loan in Germany. #FACup #PORARS @Arsenal #AFC

Been watching a replay of the Arsenal game. Reiss Nelson might be the most technically gifted kid we’ve developed in ages. I can see him developing into a poor man’s Raheem Sterling, and that’s really exciting.
