Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi has looked back on Tuesday’s trip to Paris Saint-Germain with some regret despite the positive result.

The French champions felt hard done by to be held to a 1-1 draw by Arsene Wenger’s men after creating a host of opportunities which were either spurned by Edison Cavani or saved by David Ospina.

A goal from Alexis Sanchez in the 77th minute was enough to secure what could be a vital point for the north London side in thoroughly undeserved circumstances at Parc des Princes.

However, Arsenal could have even left with all the three points had Alex Iwobi found the net through a chance which came after the equalizer.

“I had the chance to score, but my main focus was to get it on target and also beat the goalkeeper, but it was a good save and I was unfortunate not to get the goal,” Iwobi told Arsenal Player.

Despite the disappointment of failing to score what would have been his first Champions League goal for Arsenal, the 20-year-old was delighted to avoid defeat.

“The first chance I had I thought I was going to score [too], but I was just lucky Alexis put it away and I was just happy we were able to get a goal and come back into the game.
