Journalist claims Arsenal ‘have agreed fee in principal’ to sign 23-year-old forward
Apart from the possible addition of William Salaba, Arsenal are seemingly closing in on a deal to sign another Brazilian talent.
Unai Emery has already watched his side kick off pre-season, having failed to secure the signings of any big names in the summer transfer window so far.
The Arsenal manager is desperately in need of reinforcement after witnessing the Gunners finish outside the top four of the Premier League in his first season.
According to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli, Arsenal are actually on the brink of securing a deal to sign Brazilian attacker, Everton.
The 23-year-old – who interestingly shares the same name with English football club Everton – was part of Brazil’s squad for the Copa America tournament which they won earlier this summer.
After the failed Zaha move, it looks as though it is Everton whom the Gunners looking to aign with a fee already agreed, according to journalist Giulianelli.
Arsenal agreed fee in principal with Gremio for Everton €28m rising up to €40m depending on performance. Pay structure not yet finalised. Player keen on 4 year contract. #afc #Transfers
