Keown – Sanchez wants to leave, doesn’t care for teammates

Former Gunner Martin Keown has questioned the commitment of Mesut Ozil after watching his display against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Germany international made an inspiring start to this season but the past couple of months have seen him struggle along with most of his teammates.

And following the 2-0 defeat to Spurs which saw Arsenal slip further behind in the race for a top four spot,  Keown has no praises for Ozil in particular.

“Arsenal are simply carrying Mesut Ozil and they cannot afford to do so. It is very clear that he is not giving everything to the cause.” Keown wrote for the Daily Mail

“It looks as if Ozil has given up on his team-mates. I don’t know whether he is trying to sulk his way to a move.

“Who does he think he is kidding with his performances? He is supposed to be Arsenal’s most influential player, their playmaker. Against Tottenham he was just jogging around the pitch.”
