Laurent Koscielny has heaped praise on one of the club’s promising youngsters ahead of next season.

The Frenchman moved to Arsenal from Lorient in the summer of 2010 with little experience at the highest level of football.

But after seven years in England, Koscielny is regarded as one of the best defenders in the Premier League and he has now urged Arsene Wenger to keep faith in Jeff Reine-Adelaide as well.

The Gunners’ assistant skipper has called for the manager to give more opportunities to the young midfielder who joined the club in 2015.

“I hope it’s Jeff Reine-Adelaide,” Koscielny said. “He’s a young boy but I think he has a lot of quality.

“He plays some games every season and I think he can improve a lot. He can learn a lot with us. He has all the quality and after that it’s in his head to work more and to want to achieve something with this club.

“I hope he will start next season, play a lot and improve with us.”
