Riyad Mahrez has sent out a new statement suggesting that he prefers to join a team which is playing in the Champions League next season.
The 26-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Arsenal last summer after winning the PFA Player of the Year award.
Mahrez has not been able to rediscover his mesmerizing form from the 2015/16 season this term.
However, rumours have continued to suggest that the Gunners are still interested in his services.
And in a new interview with Sky Sports, the Algerian star has made it clear that he wants to join a team competing in the Champions League.
“I’m not really thinking about this summer yet, let’s finish this season and we’ll see,” Mahrez told Sky Sports
“There’s still three games to go, still some good games to play. I don’t want to put something in my head. At the moment I’m in Leicester, I’m happy and we’ll see.”
“I want to play Champions League every year, I want to be at a big club and win trophies, that’s my target. “
