Arsene Wenger is set to complete another deal which will see him lose one of the club’s promising prospects.
The Arsenal manager has so far brought in the likes of Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette to bolster his attacking options.
At the other end, the likes of Chris Willock and Kaylen Hinds have been allowed to join Benfica and Wolfsburg respectively.
And ahead of Thursday’s pre-season kick off, the Gunners are now looking to let go of young midfielder Dan Crowley on a permanent basis.
According to the Daily Mail, the 19-year-old is set to undergo a medical ahead of a transfer switch to Dutch side Willem II.
Crowley moved to north London from Aston Villa in 2014 and his displays for the club’s youth team drew comparisons with Jack Wilshere.
However, a lack of first team opportunities saw him spend the beginning of last season on loan at Oxford United and then Go Ahead Eagles in the second half of the campaign.
The Gunners appear to be intent on offloading out-of-favour youngsters before the new season despite the potential opportunity which the Europa League would have provided to those players.
