‘Meetings planned this week’: Sky Sports reporter reveals Arsenal’s new move in choosing Wenger replacement
Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has revealed the latest regarding Arsenal’s ongoing search for a replacement for Arsene Wenger.
Much to the surprise of many fans and pundits last week, Wenger announced that he has agreed to step down as manager at the end of 2017/18 season.
The announcement meant that following months of strong protests from agitated fans which resulted in ‘Wenger Out’ campaigns, the Frenchman would finally be surrendering his role as manager after 22 years at the club.
Whether Wenger’s decision to leave was largely based on animosity from certain frustrated fans or not is anyone’s guess but the club is now responsible for finding a replacement before the beginning of next season.
Various reports have linked the Gunners with the likes of Luis Enrique, Max Allegri, Patrick Vieira, Mikel Arteta and Brendan Rodgers.
And with the club seemingly planning well ahead of the 2018/19 campaign, Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol is claiming that meetings are set to be held this week as Arsenal move further in the search for Wenger’s replacement.
