Mesut Ozil breaks silence after being removed from squad vs West Ham
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has maintained a professional attitude following the latest controversial decision from Unai Emery which saw him exclude the German star from the squad on Saturday.
Ozil was handed a new contract at the club at this time last year while his colleague Alexis Sanchez was allowed to leave the club to join rivals Manchester United.
The German star has become the highest paid player in the club’s history but he has continued to endure another difficult season at the Emirates stadium, following the arrival of Unai Emery in May.
Ozil has been left out of the squad in recent months, regardless of whether he is fit to play or not and matters did not get any better for him on Saturday.
Emery decided to exclude the former Real Madrid star from his team to face West Ham, even though the midfielder had been confirmed as fit to play.
Despite the latest omission though, the 30-year-old has kept a positive attitude and he has taken to social media to give the fans an update on his efforts behind the scenes.
