Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has acknowledged that the Gunners will need to produce better performances in the future after Friday night’s narrow victory over Leicester City.

Arsene Wenger’s side kicked off the 2017/18 Premier League campaign by entertaining the neutrals with a dramatic 4-3 comeback win over Craig Shakespeare’s men.

The victory meant Arsenal took advantage of dropped points from title rivals Liverpool and Chelsea who were denied a winning start by Watford and Burnley respectively.

However, the Gunners’ inability to stop leaking goals, especially on home turf, was once again exposed as Jamie Vardy bagged a brace at the Emirates stadium.

And after the win, Ozil took to Twitter to express his delight but not without admitting that the performance was not perfect.
