‘Monsterclass’,’Absolutely magnificent’: Some fans praise Arsenal star after 2-1 loss
Several Arsenal fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the players who featured for the Gunners in the defeat against Chelsea at the Emirates stadium.
After the draw at the Vitality stadium against Bournemouth a few days ago, Arsenal were desperately hunting for all of the three points on Sunday as they welcomed Chelsea to the Emirates stadium.
It was another heated London derby which saw Mikel Arteta keep Lucas Torreira in his starting eleven after the midfielder’s encouraging show against Bournemouth.
For much of the game, the Gunners were clearly the better side as they held on to a 1-0 lead, courtesy of Aubameyang’s header.
Torreira was one of several players in the red and white shirt who played out of their skin and indeed, that made it all too painful when Chelsea managed to snatch an equalizer and a winner very late in the game.
It was a display from Arsenal’s main defensive midfielder which pleased most fans and here were their views…
Torreira is having a monsterclass, Arteta has brought back that Torreira we saw at the start of last season and its taken him.. 2 games.

We also need to find the right partner for Torreira, who can match his energy and add physicality.

I really hope we haven’t burnt the bridge with Torreira, which was frail from the start with his Italian gf pushing him to return to Italy. He looks every bit the player we signed now that he’s being played as an actual DM. Shocking how that works 🙄
