Shkodran Mustafi has sent out a message of encouragement ahead of the Europa League clash with FC Cologne on Thursday night.

The Germany international reported back to the club late after helping his country win the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup tournament in Russia.

Mustafi managed to feature in the defeat at Stoke City but rumours a couple of days after that match suggested that he was edging closer to a move to Inter Milan.

The 25-year-old’s Italian switch failed to happen and he is now fighting to regain a spot in Arsene Wenger’s starting line-up.

And ahead of Thursday’s clash with FC Cologne, the former Valencia defender has sent out a message of encouragement on social media.
