New claim gives date of when Aubameyang signing will be confirmed
There has been new speculation suggesting that the signing of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang could be completed very imminently as the transfer deadline approaches.
Following the arrival of Henrikh Mkhitaryan last Monday, Arsene Wenger is believed to be targeting the signing of another attacking player.
The Gunners have been working on the acquisition of Aubameyang – who was of course a teammate of Mkhitaryan not too long ago – as a double high-profile replacement for the departed Alexis Sanchez.
Arsenal’s unwillingness to make an acceptable offer for the Gabonese striker had seen the deal stall prior to last weekend.
But reports on Monday indicated that the transfer was edging closer and closer to being wrapped up after an agreement between Dortmund and Arsenal was reached over a £60 million fee.
And according to claims in Germany – from respected outlet Bild – broken by former star Jan Aage Fjortoft, the much-anticipated transfer of the 28-year-old will be completed by today.
