Arsenal’s new signing Shkodran Mustafi has lauded the attributes of one of his new teammates after finally linking up with them following the international break.
The German international has now made back-to-back appearances for the Gunners after starting in both the 2-1 victory over Southampton and the 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain.
Tuesday’s result in France was secured through the help of a late goal from Alexis Sanchez when Arsene Wenger’s men looked to be heading for a defeat.
And according to Mustafi, the Chilean star has proven to be difficult to handle for opposing defenders.
“I think in football today, modern football, it is not as static as it was and that’s what makes the game so quick and so difficult,” Mustafi told Arsenal Player.
“If you are a defender, you have to run all over the pitch to chase your striker and it is always difficult.
“I think we all know Alexis has qualities and he knows where to stand to give the opponent a difficult game. You have to give him credit for that.”
