Well-known Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has labelled another decision Unai Emery made this week as ‘nonsense’ with the pressure now piling up on the Gunners boss.

Arsenal kicked off the new season without a confirmed captain after the departure of Laurent Koscielny in the summer transfer window while goalkeeper Petr Cech decided to retire from football.

To solve the problem of having no recognized leader in charge of the squad, Unai Emery named Granit Xhaka as captain to the disapproval of most fans back in September.

However, the Switzerland international’s foul-mouthed confrontation with the fans recently has seen him lose his role as captain.

After naming Aubameyang as the new skipper this week, Emery also revealed that the likes of Hector Bellerin, Mesut Ozil and a couple of first team stars were also considered to be captains now.

But Piers Morgan does not approve of the idea of having more than one player in charge of leadership in Emery’s ‘captains group’.
