Arsene Wenger and his men will be looking to extend their winning run in the Premier League this weekend when they face Southampton at home. 

The Gunners ended a very poor run of form in the league during March by thrashing Watford 3-0 at home ahead of the international break.

And when action resumed last weekend, Arsenal managed to beat Stoke City 3-0 at the Emirates stadium, courtesy of a brace from Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and a late penalty kick from Alexandre Lacazette.

The Gunners have closed the gap on fifth-placed Chelsea after the Blues’ defeat against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

With Henrikh Mkhitaryan already injured, Wenger needs to consider handing some of his other key players a rest.

Thus, star midfielder Mesut Ozil should be given a break while Alex Iwobi gets a chance to reclaim a place in the starting eleven.
