Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has picked out the teammate who really impressed him in Saturday’s victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby.

The 29-year-old produced an improved display on Saturday, setting up the opening goal for Shkodran Mustafi as Arsene Wenger’s men managed to defeat their fierce rivals 2-0 at the Emirates stadium.

Also in impressive form against Mauricio Pochettino’s side was Alexis Sanchez who scored the vital second goal of the game on the stroke of halftime.

And according to Ozil, the Chilean international proved again why the club should be eager to retain his services.

“Our aim was to give everything,” Ozil said

“We believe in ourselves and at end of the day we’re really happy.

“I really enjoy [playing with Lacazette and Sanchez]. We have good quality. Lacazette and Sanchez are always dangerous, they can always score.

“Alexis especially today showed his quality and I’m really happy for him to score against Tottenham. We’re really happy to win this game.”
