Mesut Ozil insists a lack of concentration from the players is what has seen Arsenal’s season suffer a dramatic downfall over the last couple of weeks.
The Gunners were only two points adrift of Leicester City at this time last month with their faint hopes still alive in the Champions League as they chased a third consecutive FA Cup glory.
However, a run of several defeats both home and away has seen Arsene Wenger’s men knocked out of all cup competitions while they sit 11 points behind the league leaders.
With fans left to rue another Arsenal collapse in spring, Mesut Ozil has suggested that his side will have to improve on their mentality if they are to defy the odds with just nine games left to play.
“If you see the whole season, we have played very well. We have lost some points because we were not concentrated or we didn’t score.” Ozil said
“We have to work harder than before. We have to concentrate now and give everything on the pitch. We have to fight.”
