‘Pathetic’ – Piers Morgan sends emotional message to Arsenal players on Monday
Piers Morgan took to social media to send out a message to the Arsenal squad after watching how they performed in the last home league fixture against Brighton.
The Gunners were deemed as favourites to even finish in third place almost two months ago after they had beaten Newcastle to move into third place in the table.
At that time, it appeared as though Unai Emery’s men were on course to finish in the top four, largely due to the fact that they had already played every single member of the so-called top six in the Premier League.
However, the Gunners’ inability to handle pressure has returned to haunt them dearly over the past two to three weeks and ever since that loss to Crystal Palace at the Emirates stadium, matters have only gotten worse.
After watching them fail to win yet another league game as they were held to a draw at home to Brighton, Piers Morgan sent out an emotional message to the Arsenal squad….
We can spin it, excuse it, try to somehow explain it… but one point from 12 against Palace, Wolves, Leicester & Brighton constitutes the the biggest bottle-job in Premier League history. Shame on you, Arsenal – when we needed heart & fight, we got tin men & surrender. Pathetic. pic.twitter.com/7AduNAzmJL
