Personal terms agreed as Szczesny move beckons
Arsenal are on the verge of completing their first sale of the summer transfer window according to reports from Monday.
Arsene Wenger only decided to let go of one player on a permanent deal last summer as Serge Gnabry joined Werder Bremen on deadline day.
However, with a major rebuilding expected to take place this time, several out-of-favour stars may say goodbye to the club.
According to Italian outlet Il Martino, Wojciech Szczesny has now agreed personal terms with Napoli over a transfer switch.
The Polish international has been on loan at AS Roma for the past two years and his impressive displays from this season appears to have attracted suitors.
Arsenal are expected to cash in on the goalkeeper while David Ospina also looks to be on the way out of the Emirates stadium.
Should Napoli’s transfer offer match the Gunners’ valuation, Szczesny’s name would finally be off the books of Arsenal whom he joined in 2006 as a youngster.
