Picture: 27-year-old Arsenal star trains ahead of Burnley trip despite injury scare
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been handed some good news on the injury front ahead of the trip to Burnley with Shkodran Mustafi making a swift return to training after his injury scare on Monday.
The Gunners’ terrible luck with injuries has continued this campaign and key defender Calum Chambers has already been limited to the sidelines for the remainder of the season.
With Mikel Arteta short of centre-backs, matters appeared to have gotten worse for the Arsenal boss on Monday as Shkodran Mustafi had to leave the pitch on a stretcher during the clash with Bournemouth.
Initial fears were that the German defender was set for a spell on the sidelines but Mustafi has handed his boss a much-needed boost by making a swift return to training ahead of the clash with Burnley on Sunday.
As reported by injury news journalist Ben Dinnery, here was a shot of the 27-year-old taking part in the Gunners’ training session on Saturday as the team prepared for the visit to Turf Moor.
