Arsene Wenger has been handed some positive news on the fitness front ahead of the meeting with Manchester City in the final of the Carabao Cup on Sunday.

The Gunners have been hit with their fair share of injury woes over the past decade and that has barely changed so far this season.

With his side already deemed as massive underdogs for the clash, Wenger will be hoping he has almost a full-strength squad to choose from.

However, after suffering a new injury recently, Aaron Ramsey has spent a period on the sidelines following his superb hat-trick against Everton at the beginning of this month.

There were serious concerns over the fitness of the Welsh midfielder heading into this weekend.

But Ramsey eased those fears by managing to take part in the training session with the rest of the first team on Saturday.

The 27-year-old will be hoping to avoid any more injuries in order to contribute to Wenger’s ambitions for the run-in to this season.
