Picture: Major boost for Arsenal as key 26-year-old returns ahead of Watford trip
The Gunners have been handed a boost on the injury front ahead of their important trip to Watford in the Premier League on Monday night.
Arsenal suffered another way defeat last weekend as they conceded an early first half goal which saw Everton inflict serious damage on their hopes of finishing in the top four this season.
Unai Emery watched his side respond to that loss by beating Napoli very well in the Europa League on Thursday night to take a major advantage in the quarterfinal ahead of the second leg in Italy.
Not involved in that game against the Serie A side was Granit Xhaka, who has missed the last two games due to a new fitness worry.
The 26-year-old’s quality was certainly missed in the defeat at Goodison Park and heading into the clash with Watford, there were concerns over whether he will be able to return.
Much to the delight of Emery, Xhaka was able to participate in a full training session on Sunday ahead of the Watford fixture…
