Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck made a rare post on social media after helping the team secure a victory over Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday.

The 27-year-old has had an inconsistent career at the Emirates stadium after his move from Manchester United in the summer of 2014.

Despite the availability of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette this season, Welbeck has managed to enjoy more playing time for the first team than he has in the past two campaigns.

The England international was called upon to start on Sunday and he definitely rewarded the manager for his decision by scoring twice as the Gunners secured a 3-2 win over a battling Southampton side.

Even though Welbeck’s two goals were sandwiched by a horrible miss from close range, the striker was still satisfied with how the day went for him.
