Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil made it very clear that he was fit indeed ahead of the clash with West Ham in the Premier League this weekend.

The 30-year-old was expected by many fans to kick on his career at the club after being rewarded with a new £350,000-a-week contract a year ago, which made him the highest paid player at the Emirates stadium.

Ozil came into this season under much pressure to succeed after being bashed by several fans for his erratic displays the campaign before.

However, the former Real Madrid star is enduring another frustrating season at the club following what appears to be a rift between him and new boss Unai Emery behind the scenes.

Ozil had been left out of the team in recent weeks due to a so-called knee injury but he did manage to train with the squad all week ahead of the West Ham trip.

Ahead of Saturday’s game, the midfielder confirmed on social media that he was fit indeed even though Emery once again chose to exclude him from the final squad…
