Arsenal are now preparing for their opening game of the 2018/19 season which will be against Premier League champions Manchester City this weekend.

The Gunners enjoyed a very busy summer transfer window which saw them secure the signings of five players, prior to the start of pre-season in July.

New Arsenal manager Unai Emery will hoping to secure a flying start to the new campaign by managing to beat champions Manchester City, who will be visiting the Emirates stadium this weekend.

The Gunners boss is expected to name a much-changed side from the team which played against Lazio last weekend in the final game of the pre-season tour.

One of the players who will be hoping to be handed a start against Pep Guardiola’s side is Henrikh Mkhitaryan, a player pocketing £180,000-a-week wages at the Emirates stadium.

Here were a few pictures as the former Manchester United star joined the rest of the squad in training ahead of the City clash….
