The Gunners have been handed some good news on the injury front ahead of the trip to Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

Unai Emery was handed a double injury blow just over a week ago as a couple of his defenders were withdrawn from the game against Manchester United due to injuries once again.

The Gunners had to finish the game without the likes of Sokratis and Laurent Koscielny as Manchester United went on to score a late goal in the final moments of the match to wrap up a 3-1 win.

While Sokratis is now out until the end of February, his counterpart Koscielny has been given much better news on his injury after making a swift return to training.

There were fears over the French defender possibly requiring surgery to recover from the jaw injury he suffered in an accidental clash with Romelu Lukaku during the second half of the game.

However, the 33-year-old is now fit and available for the important trip to Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Here were a few snapshots as Koscielny took part in Saturday’s training session as he made a quick return to action…
