After a post-season break which lasted almost two months, the Gunners will be kicking off their pre-season fixtures this month ahead of the 2019/20 season.

In his first season as manager of Arsenal, Unai Emery showed he willing to give a chance to young and unproven players as he looks to secure a return to the Champions League for the club.

This summer, Emery has taken a chance on another promising player in Gabriel Martinelli, who agreed to complete a move to the Emirates stadium last week.

The Gunners’ excessive reliance on Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang for goals last season has shown that the team is in desperate need of new options in attack.

With the signing of Gabriel Martinelli, who will be included in the first team straight away, Emery and the Arsenal faithful will be hoping a new attacking star has been found.
