Pictures: Forgotten star joins Sanchez and Ozil in Arsenal first team training

 

Arsene Wenger’s men are wrapping up their preparation for Sunday’s clash with Manchester United.

The Gunners saw a brief winning run of three victories in all competitions come to an end last weekend in a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

That disappointing result at White Hart Lane has left Arsenal well behind in the race for a place in the top four.

After conceding two more goals in the Premier League, Wenger is expected to reshuffle his defensive unit once again.

And back in the fold could be forgotten star Per Mertesacker who was fully involved in Saturday morning’s training session.
