Arsene Wenger’s men are finishing up their preparations for Wednesday night’s decisive clash with Chelsea in the semi-final of the League Cup. 

The Gunners secured their first win in quite a while on Saturday as they thrashed Crystal Palace 4-1 courtesy of four early goals in the first half.

Arsenal now have a vital League Cup semi-final clash against Chelsea to take care of after drawing 0-0 with the Blues in the first encounter two weeks ago.

That match at Stamford Bridge turned out to be the last appearance in an Arsenal shirt for Alexis Sanchez who completed a transfer move to Manchester United on Monday.

The Chilean international’s switch means Henrikh Mkhitaryan has now swapped the Red Devils for the Gunners after bringing an end to his erratic career at Old Trafford.

And the classy and often composed 29-year-old was able to train with the Arsenal squad for the first time on Tuesday as they prepared for the upcoming League Cup fixture.
