Piers Morgan reacts to Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat to Man City in Carabao Cup final
Well-known Arsenal supporter Piers Morgan took to Twitter to express his thoughts as Arsenal succumbed to yet another defeat on Sunday against Manchester City.
The Gunners have been under severe scrutiny this season due to their inconsistent performances in the Premier League as they sit in sixth place in the table.
After the surprising 2-1 loss to Ostersund on Thursday evening, many fans were not feeling too optimistic about Arsenal’s chances in the Carabao Cup final.
Even so, the memory of last season’s victory over Pep Guardiola’s side in the semi-final of the FA Cup meant there was some hope for Wenger’s men.
However, a horrible collapse at the back saw Sergio Aguero hand City the lead in the first half and matters got worse after the restart as Vincent Kompany and David Silva wrapped up the result.
It was yet another frustrating day for the Gunners and Piers Morgan definitely went on Twitter to express his thoughts…
We’ve given up.
I wonder how many goals we’d have to lose by to force Wenger out – 8? 9? Double figures?
