Well-known Arsenal supporter Piers Morgan was full of praise for one of the Gunners’ new additions after watching them defeat Rapid Viena 2-1 in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Arsenal were in action against Rapid Viena on Thursday as they looked to begin their Europa League campaign with a positive result after being knocked out of the competition in the round of 16 stage last term.

Mikel Arteta decided to make a few changes to his starting eleven as Thomas Partey was handed his first appearance for Arsenal in what was a fairly tricky trip to Austria.

The 27-year-old completed his move to the Emirates stadium earlier this month on transfer deadline day after a long summer of rumours regarding his switch from Atletico Madrid.

Partey produced a fine display on his debut as the Gunners managed to come from behind to beat Rapid Viena 2-1. Thus, Piers Morgan took to social media to praise the midfielder after the final whistle.
