Piers Morgan reacts to 4-0 win with a claim about Mikel Arteta
Piers Morgan claims the Gunners’ victory over Newcastle was the best he had seen Arsenal play in a long time and indeed a ‘big statement’ made by Mikel Arteta.
Even though the Gunners have certainly improved their performances under the management of Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal boss has not been able to guide his team to many wins in the Premier League.
Prior to Sunday’s clash with Newcastle United, Arsenal had failed to win in their last four league games following a run of draws both at home and on the road.
After a dull first half show, the Gunners came out of the second half with a strong display which saw them score four times to secure what turned out to be an emphatic victory.
After the result, Piers Morgan claimed that the win over Newcastle was indeed a ‘big statement’ from Mikel Arteta, who had tasted only his second Premier League win as Arsenal boss.
Morgan also suggested that the performance was actually the best he had witnessed the team play in a long time.
BOOM! 4-0. @LacazetteAlex back on the scoresheet too, and gets buried alive for his troubles. Brilliant 2nd half – best I’ve seen Arsenal play for a long long time. Big statement by @m8arteta 👍👏👏👏#afc pic.twitter.com/qUFHQNmds5
