Piers Morgan reacts to Arsenal’s 3-2 defeat against Southampton
Well-known Arsenal supporter Piers Morgan took to social media to react to the Gunners’ 3-2 defeat against Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners went into the clash with Southampton on the back of 22 games without defeat in all competitions after beating Qarabag 1-0 at home in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Unai Emery made a few changes to his starting eleven on Sunday but the most important alterations to the team were due to the fact that two of his key defenders, Sokratis and Shkodran Mustafi, were suspended for one domestic game.
That saw Laurent Koscielny make his first start in the Premier League in more than half a year while Granit Xhaka moved into a centre-back role alongside the Frenchman.
Despite coming from behind twice to level the score, a late goal from Charlie Austin ended the Gunners’ long unbeaten run and Piers Morgan was certainly not happy after the final whistle…
FT: 3-2. Poor performance by Arsenal, unbeaten run over.
