Piers Morgan reacts to Palace game by slamming one ‘pathetic’ moment
Piers Morgan took to social media to react to the Gunners’ trip to Crystal Palace by venting about one moment he deemed as ‘pathetic’ on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners went into the clash with Eagles on the back of two straight wins at home as they defeated Manchester United before barely seeing off Leeds in the FA Cup on Monday night.
Considering the fact that several teams appear to be in the race to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season, Arsenal knew they needed maximum points on Saturday to maintain any slim hopes of securing Champions League football for next season through their league position.
Arsenal were leading at half time against Crystal Palace after a goal from Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang had given the away side the lead.
The Gunners’ lead did not last for too long though as Palace equalized before goalscorer Aubameyang was sent off in a decision which Piers Morgan has slammed for being ‘pathetic’.
WHAT? Another pathetic VAR fiasco. That was a poor challenge but no malice intended & a booking at worst… @Aubameyang7 is not a dirty player. Ridiculous. pic.twitter.com/8IdZU8BbVF
