Player now ‘pushing for move’ to Arsenal as selling club demands $68.3 million fee
Journalist Emanuele Giulianeli has made a new claim regarding the status of Thomas Lemar’s potential transfer to Arsenal.
The Gunners, who are yet to resolve the contractual situations of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, have frequently been linked with a move for the 21-year-old following the end of last campaign.
Arsene Wenger reportedly made a bid for Lemar just over a month ago which was turned down by AS Monaco.
Arsenal are believed to have submitted a brand new offer for the France international and according to Giulianeli, the midfielder is now ‘pushing for the move’ to happen.
Even so, Monaco are apparently asking for a fee in the region of $68.3 million (€60 million) which Arsenal are yet to match.
Monaco have said they want €60m from Arsenal for Lemar. Player pushing for the move. Confirmed. #AFC

Another attacking midfielder who has been linked with a north London switch is Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez.
Wenger’s men are set to begin their pre-season tour this week as new signing Alexandre Lacazette looks to make his debut.
