Player reacts on Twitter after agreeing deal to sign for Arsenal before World Cup begins

Unai Emery’s first signing of the summer transfer window as an Arsenal manager has taken to Twitter to react to his transfer move. 

The Gunners said goodbye to Arsene Wenger at the beginning of last month, following 22 years of the Frenchman’s reign.

Emery’s arrival means Arsenal will be taking a different approach as the club looks to book a return to the Champions League next season.

That has seen Stephan Lichtsteiner agree to move to the Emirates stadium after several years in Italy with Serie A giants Juventus.

The 34-year-old is joining the Gunners as a free agent in what will be considered a pretty shrewd deal from Arsenal’s recruitment staff.

Lichtsteiner is believed to have signed a fairly short-term deal to play at the Emirates stadium but his services will be often needed next season if Hector Bellerin’s poor form continues.
