Player sends message after agreeing terms to join Arsenal after World Cup
One of the Gunners’ new signings has sent out a message to the Arsenal faithful after agreeing terms over a move to the Emirates stadium this summer.
Following the departure of Arsene Wenger in May, the Gunners have moved to make significant changes around the club to avoid another season of missing out on Champions League qualification.
The arrival of Unai Emery has seen the club secure a few deals and one of them has been signing Stephan Lichtsteiner on a free transfer, following the expiration of his contract at Juventus.
The Switzerland international is set to move to the Emirates stadium as a possible back-up for Hector Bellerin, who was in worrying form for much of last season.
Lichtsteiner will be joining the Gunners after his World Cup duty is over and on Sunday, he sent out a formal message to the Arsenal faithful ahead of his north London switch.
This is officially my first day as a Gunner! I am excited and extremely proud to be part of the @Arsenal family and to wear this jersey. I will give my all for the team and for the Arsenal fans! Together, we will work hard every day to achieve our objectives. #WeAreTheArsenal🔴 pic.twitter.com/Xcu254VkpV
