‘Please sell him in January if you can!’: Some fans want Arsenal star gone after Leicester show

A number of Arsenal fans took to social media to hit out at the man who was leading the attack on Sunday as the Gunners suffered their second loss in a row in the Premier League.
Arsenal faced Leicester City at the Emirates stadium on the back of a 2-1 win over Rapid Viena in the Europa League which came a few days after the 1-0 defeat against Manchester City.
The clash with the Foxes witnessed Mikel Arteta choose a front three in attack which saw Alexandre Lacazette feature in the centre forward position.
The Frenchman, who was linked with an exit during the summer transfer window, had a fairly frustrating night upfront as the Gunners failed to score a goal in a Premier League game for the second time in a row this season.
Lacazette missed a couple of golden goal-scoring opportunities as Arsenal went on to suffer an agonizing 1-0 loss to a Leicester side who hardly carved out any chances all game.
Thus, several fans took to social media to express how they felt about the striker…
Please sell him in January if you can! Lacazette has overstayed. Decent player but not reliable and needs to be replaced with a striker more versatile across the frontline

Honest question, has Lacazette really been any better than Olivier Giroud? £50m lets not forget…

I think for me it’s quite clear that if Lacazette starts the next few games then we have a manager who may just be more stubborn than Wenger. It will lead to an early demise and he will have brought it on himself.

We need to sell and replace Lacazette in January I’m fed up

Lacazette isn't a #9 capable of the demands Arteta wants. Aubameyang, yes occasionally has done well in the wide role, his lack of impact on many occasions is hurting us – not blaming him.

We have to give Arteta time to build his team but with Lacazette costing us on a regular basis and forcing Auba to play out of position is just ludicrous for fans to accept. Hopefully we see a front three of Nelson-Auba-Pepe and then Martinelli-Auba-Pepe soon.
