‘Please sell him in January’ – Fans attack Arsenal star on Twitter after Burnley game
Despite the victory over Burnley, there were one or two players who failed to deliver the right performance from the point of view of the away fans.
Arsene Wenger’s men secured their second straight victory in the Premier League on Sunday courtesy of a last-minute penalty kick from Alexis Sanchez.
The Arsenal boss named a starting eleven at Turf Moore which was significantly different from the team which played against Cologne on Thursday.
In the absence of Mesut Ozil, Alex Iwobi had an opportunity to impress his manager as he was handed a start against Sean Dyche’s side.
However, the Nigerian youngster only featured for 67 minutes, going off to be replaced by Jack Wilshere as the Gunners chased a winning goal.
Thus some fans fired criticism at Iwobi on social media….
Disgusting how actual talented players such as AMN and Nelson only get to play EL football + get played in the wrong position while Iwobi gets PL mins in a fully attacking role

Iwobi is not the player we thought he'd become – really more of a liability. Please sell him in January.

Sorry but I just don’t get Iwobi maybe I’m missing something but don’t rate him

Iwobi and Lacazette’s chemistry is like orange juice and toothpaste

But other Gooners were not having any of it…
Arsenal fans are quite odd sometimes.
We beg players to leave if they don’t play for the badge but here we have a young Iwobi giving his all every game and some people want him out. Makes no sense.

The dislike Iwobi gets on this platform is disheartening, we insult players who love and want to play for the club and adore the ones who don't give af about the club.

Whatever you say about Iwobi(who isn't a bad player),he cares about the club and gives it his all almost everytime he plays for us. Try supporting such players instead of going after them.
