Rumors are now suggesting that Arsenal have actually agreed personal terms with AS Monaco star Thomas Lemar.
The Gunners have been targeting the signing of the 21-year-old largely due to the uncertain future of star midfielder Mesut Ozil.
Arsene Wenger submitted a $40 million offer for Lemar which was rejected by AS Monaco last month.
However, the Sun are now claiming that the French midfielder has agreed personal terms with Arsenal over a move to the Emirates stadium.
Lemar and his representatives have reportedly given the greenlight to a long-term deal worth £90,000-a-week with the Gunners who have already secured the acquisition of his France teammate Alexandre Lacazette.
This comes after reports by L’Equipe which claimed that Wenger had submitted a new $51.3 million offer for the Monaco star.
Lemar is believed to have informed the Ligue 1 side about his desire to move to England after recently turning down a new contract at the club.
