Saw dissapointment at Wembley with Cardiff

The only Gunner with the most recent experience of playing at Wembley (or any cup final), Aaron Ramsey, must have licked his lips in notice of a sensational return to Ninian Park after Arsenal was drawn against Cardiff City for the FA Cup’s fourth round.

Indeed, the magic of the cup has transformed to it’s drawing, as Ramsey could have bargained any other opponent for Arsenal, but perhaps not home club Cardiff. That is not the only factor making this a cup classic. Cardiff have belief of upsetting Arsenal as history says the Welsh side defeated Arsenal 1-0 the last time the pair met in the 1927 final.

But Wenger’s men can barely complain about their luck in the draw – considering other tough ties between rivals Manchester United and Tottenham while Liverpool will be involved in a Merseyside derby with Everton.

Last season’s finalists will host the Gunners during the weekend of January 24/25.

FA Cup fourth round draw:

Liverpool v Everton
Manchester United v Tottenham
Hull or Newcastle v Millwall or Crewe
Sunderland v Blyth or Blackburn
Hartlepool v West Ham
Leyton Orient or Sheffield United v Charlton or Norwich
Cardiff v Arsenal
Portsmouth or Bristol City v Histon or Swansea
Chelsea or Southend v Ipswich
Cheltenham or Doncaster v Aston Villa
West Brom or Peterborough v QPR or Burnley
Torquay v Coventry
Kettering v Fulham
Watford v Leicester or Crystal Palace
Derby v Nottingham Forest
Birmingham or Wolves v Middlesbrough
