Journalist claims Arsenal ‘have contacted’ top manager over replacing Emery
Reliable Spanish journalist Kike Marin is claiming that the Gunners have made an initial contact with one of the potential candidates to take over from Unai Emery at the club.
Following an abysmal run of results across all competitions, it became imperative for the club to make some sort of change and that saw Unai Emery lose his job as manager, only days after rivals Tottenham Hotspur had sacked Mauricio Pochettino.
With Arsenal yet to confirm the appointment of a new boss, several big names have been rumoured to be on the radar of the club.
According to Spanish journalist Kike Marin, who is known for often getting his stories right, Carlo Ancelotti has been contacted by the Gunners.
Prior to the Italian’s departure from Napoli which was confirmed (BBC) on Tuesday evening, Marin reported that Ancelotti had received an approach from Arsenal in a tweet which was translated as:
“Arsenal have contacted the entourage of Carlo Ancelotti, who is expected to leave Napoli imminently. He is known in the Premier League for his time at Chelsea and is vastly experienced.”
🤔 That’s the question…
