podolski and gunners celebrate

For the second time this week, a pair of goals from Lukas Podolski got the job done for Arsenal as they walked out of the KC stadium with a 3-0 triumph.

Hull City threw most of the punches in the opening minutes but the Gunners grew into the game as they found their chances on the counter-attack. And after the half-hour mark, they took one of those chances.

Wenger’s men were ahead after a neat move saw Ozil and Giroud work the ball before it dropped to Ramsey who placed the ball home like a striker to rack up his ninth league goal of the season on his first league start since returning from a long absence.

Hull came roaring back like the Tigers they are after going behind as Jake Livermore got the woodwork shaking with a low effort.

But it was Arsenal who found the net again as Ramsey turned provider this time, laying the ball down for Podolski to smash home his third goal in just a week with half-time looming.

The second-half did not produce any twists and turns as the Gunners walked straight ahead to a second straight win in the Premier League after another Podolski strike, only nine minutes after the break, sealed the points.
