You could see Wojciech Szczesny in goal for Arsenal on Wednesday night.

The Poland international has found his involvement in the second half of this season limited to just FA Cup action, but Szczesny is now on stand-by for a start against AS Monaco.

David Ospina suffered a back problem against Crystal Palace on Saturday and according to Eurosport, the Colombian is now facing a fitness test ahead of the Champions League showdown on Wednesday.

Ospina’s struggle with fitness kept him out for much of the season’s beginning

Injuries have forced Arsene Wenger into rotating his goalkeepers on numerous occasions in a season where third choice shot-stopper Damian Martinez has even enjoyed a fair share of playing time.

If Ospina’s back problem manages to keep him out of the first leg clash with AS Monaco, Szczesny will be handed his fifth appearance in the Champions League this season.
