Rio Ferdinand has five-word message for Arteta after Monday’s game
BT Sport pundit and former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand had a cheeky yet upbeat message for Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta after the win over Bournemouth in the FA Cup on Monday night.
After managing to beat Leeds United earlier this month, the Gunners were drawn against Bournemouth in the fourth round of the FA Cup, the same team whom they drew 1-1 with in the Premier League last month.
Mikel Arteta was hoping to secure only his third victory since his return to the club as Unai Emery’s replacement, after a run of several draws.
Despite the fact that Bournemouth’s recent results had slightly improved ahead of their clash with the Gunners, the Cherries were left chasing shadows for much of the first half on Monday.
BT Sport pundit Rio Ferdinand has not always been full of praise for Arsenal, but he appears to be impressed by what he has seen so far from the team under its new manager.
Following a comment from a rival fan who suggested that the ex-United star was praising the Gunners too much after their win, Ferdinand responded by sending out a cheeky message that ‘Arteta is at the Wheel’….the same praise he had for Solskjaer last year when the Norwegian was enjoying a bright start to life as Manchester United’s boss.
Arteta is at the Wheel @m8arteta 😂 https://t.co/B8wkiw3CqK
