Italian club Sampdoria have sent out a strong message to Arsenal over their pursuit of Joachim Andersen and Dennis Praet this summer.

The Gunners have been seeking possible reinforcements in the transfer market after a terrible campaign which saw them finish outside of the Premier League before losing the final of the Europa League to Chelsea.

As a result, Unai Emery has begun a chase of Serie A duo Joachim Andersen and Dennis Praet, as he looks to strike a deal similar to the one which saw him secure the signature of Lucas Torreira – a man whose value has sky-rocketed following an impressive debut season.

Arsenal have made initial attempts to sign the pair, but according to Italian source Gazzetta dello Sport, Sampdoria have informed the Gunners that they want a minimum of €55m for the duo.

The Italian side’s message to Arsenal is to increase their offer and should that occur, the Gunners would have on their hands a pair of decent players to shore up their squad.

Unlike their rivals in the top six of the Premier League, Arsenal do not have an abundance of funds available for transfer deals this summer and that is why Emery is rather keen on signing players with potential.
