‘It was about time’: Some fans react to £25,000-a-week Arsenal man’s loan exit
Several Arsenal fans took to social media to send out their best wishes to the latest man to leave the Gunners on loan with just two weeks now remaining in the January transfer window.
Mikel Arteta has certainly improved the Gunners’ defence ever since he arrived in December as the man chosen to replace Unai Emery at the club, following the club’s concerning start to the season.
The Arsenal boss does not have too many players to choose from at centre-back though, with Calum Chambers succumbing to a knee injury which will keep him out of action for several months.
Despite all of that, Arteta and his coaching staff have decided now is the right time to send out Mavropanos on loan as the young defender’s move to Nurnberg was completed on Monday.
The 22-year-old, who has been earning £25,000-a-week wages at the Emirates stadium (Mirror), will be on loan with the German side for the remainder of the season as he looks to revive his career.
Honestly it was about time that we send Mavropanos on loan

Mavropanos needed a loan move so that he can play but does 4 months in a new country/league/team help in that process? By the time he settles and adapts, it will be time to come back.
Why wasn't he sent on loan for full season when it was clear we had too many CBs?

Wow…didn't expect Mavropanos to actually leave on loan. See you next season! Come back better!

With Mavropanos going out on loan, Arsenal only have Sokratis, Luiz and a Rob Holding who is yet to return to optimal fitness levels. It means one of them have to play 2 games a week soon. We are an injury or 2 away from seeing Xhaka CB.

Just seen mavropanos has gone to Nuremberg on loan for the rest of the season. I’m getting a feeling he may be one of these “Good” players we don’t use and up selling on in a year or 2 #afc

With Mavropanos gone and Chambers injured surely that means we are going to sign a centre back
