‘Send him back, he’s a shocking player’ – Arsenal boy attacked on Twitter by angry fans
It is now safe to say that Carl Jenkinson has gone from hero to zero from the view of the West Ham faithful this season.
The Arsenal defender last played for his parent club in May 2014 after choosing to spend back-to-back seasons on loan at Upton Park.
However, after an impressive debut year in the Hammers’ colours last term, Jenkinson appears to be enduring a campaign to forget if the word from the West Ham crowd is anything to go by.
The 23-year-old returned to Slaven Bilic’s starting line-up for the clash against Manchester City after losing his spot at right-back for several weeks.
But conceding a penalty to Sergio Aguero before hobbling off with an injury concern on Saturday has got the Gunner back in trouble with frustrated West Ham fans.
Here were their reactions after the 2-2 draw with Manuel Pellegrini’s men…
Genuinely hope Carl Jenkinson goes back to Arsenal. Tonight was the final, final straw. He was a bit of a scapegoat but he's now pure shit.

Jenkinson's season compared to last is a madness. Was so good last year and now he doesn't seem to care for West Ham when he plays

I honestly believe Jenkinson is going to end up in The Championship at best

Jenkinson doesn't want to be at WHU, you can tell by his effort. Probably wants to be back at Arsenal to potentially see them win the prem

Carl Jenkinson has individually cost West Ham 6 points this season.

Carl jenkinson has done well for us but seems to be lacking confidence I reckon he can hear
All the verbal , we just keep building the team up to much, were everyone is waiting for us to full, bite the tongue, let’s see what happens irons x
Today Arsenal has no face, poor control of the ball, not accurate passes, no concept of game, no fighting spirit, no character as Wenger no character. Who wants to beat Arsenal must do press and play a little harder. This trainer is not a winner, makes saving money on board, so they are happy with benefiting from higher ticket prices. What kind of policy is that?! It will have a bad result. Lester has a coach. Arsenal is without a coach. Some successes are the result of talented players.
Walcott is delicate as a ballerina, Campbell is a weak player, runs without result, Belerin always fed back, all challenges is lost, there is no physical condition and endurance, players do not know how to press the opponent. Only Yuzil trying but always left alone, Ramsey is distracted and without concentration, Giroux does not fight enough, does not know how to do that and he always play foul.
